Mannheim business administration graduates top the world’s income statistics

Business administration students graduating from the University of Mannheim are paid the highest salaries in the world just three years after completing their degree. This is one of the findings of the recent “Global-Masters-in-Management Ranking” recently published by the Financial Times. On average Mannheim business graduates earn salaries of around 72,000 dollars. The ranking only takes account of degree courses for which no previous professional experience is required and which are not taken as part of mature students’ continuing professional development.

Mannheim is also the frontrunner among the 50 universities surveyed by the Financial Times in terms of the relationship between tuition fees and anticipated salaries (“value for money”). In the overall evaluation of the degree course Mannheim’s Business Administration Faculty has secured its leading position in Germany even further by moving up the ranking from ten to eight in the last twelve months. Mannheim’s position up in the dizzy heights of the salary statistics sees it soaring ahead of previous leading institutions – the HEC (École des hautes études commerciales) in Paris and the London School of Economics.

The Dean of the Business Administration Faculty, Professor Dr. Hans H. Bauer, believes the institution's success in the rankings reflects the top international quality of the Faculty’s research, teaching and management performance. It remains the objective of his University to recruit the very best students and scholars. The Business Administration Faculty in Mannheim has 27 professors, around 150 research assistants and approximately 4,000 students and is one of the biggest and most prestigious business administration institutions among Europe’s universities. Together with the Mannheim Business School, the University’s umbrella institution for the continuing development of management professionals, the University’s Business Administration Faculty is accredited with the three leading associations for higher education institutions in management and business administration.
