In studying abroad they become “young ambassadors” for their host country – and some even become real “Baden-Württemberg Ambassadors”. It is internationalism that these students embody. [ more ] University co-operation between Baden-Württemberg and Malaysia to be extended As from 2005, it will be easier for a substantially higher amount of excellent Malaysian students to study at universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. The studies will be facilitated if students fulfil certain educational requirements. This is foreseen in the “Memorandum of Understanding“ signed by the Minister for Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Dr. Peter Frankenberg and the Malaysian Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperative Development (MECD), Dato Mohamed Khaled on 28th July 2004 in Stuttgart. Frankenberg welcomed the close co-operation between Baden-Württemberg and Malaysia saying this co-operation with growing countries in east and south-east Asia underlined the internationalisation process of universities in the state of Baden-Württemberg.
