Entrance Qualifications for Universities in Baden-Württemberg
To qualify for entry to a higher education institution in Germany, you have to fulfil certain criteria. These vary according to the type of institution. All applicants (German or foreign) must hold a suitable entrance qualification. A foreign qualification must be equivalent to a German entrance qualification of Abitur or Hochschulreifeprüfung (German matriculation).
Students with entrance qualifications which are only partly comparable to German qualifications may be asked to pass an assessment test (Feststellungsprüfung). This is carried out by the dean of the relevant university.
