Erasmus and Erasmus Mundus
For undergraduates from EU countries there are scholarships available for one year or shorter stays in Germany through the ERASMUS program (European Community Action Scheme for Mobility of University Students). Cooperating partner universities exchange students through this program. The contact person is the ERASMUS office of your home university.
Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to enhance the quality of European higher education and to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries. In addition, it contributes to the development of human resources and the international cooperation capacity of Higher education institutions in Third Countries by increasing mobility between the European Union and these countries.
In addition there are also scholarships available from private foundations which to some extent fund foreign students. They are administered by the Donors’ Association for the Promoting of Sciences and Humanities in Germany.
