Friedrich Naumann Foundation

The Friedrich Naumann Foundation of the Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP) is the foundation for liberal politics in Germany. It offers foreign undergraduates scholarships towards obtaining their first university degree. Graduate students are funded on the basis of two-year extended program of study. They may also apply for a PhD scholarship if the subject matter is of special academic and social importance.

The following three criteria are essential for your application:

Exceptional academic ability
Outstanding personality
Liberal political and social activities

Foreign scholarship holders will be expected to use their acquired skills and knowledge to the best advantage and welfare of their home countries.
